Senior Technical Consultant

Rate: £ 20 to £ 35 K (full-time (per year))
Kineo is the leading company in rapid e-learning . We’re involved in many exciting projects for clients including Google, BP, Marks & Spencer and Cable & Wireless. Our mission is to innovate and stir up the e-learning market through the use of emerging tools and technologies, including open source initiatives such as Moodle and Joomla.
We are growing fast and are now looking for two Technical Consultants (Programmers) to join us in Sheffield. We pride ourselves in our strong team, our good working atmosphere and our fresh approach. If you are highly motivated, multi-skilled, helpful and seek intelligent solutions, this role is the exciting career opportunity you are looking for. You will work closely with clients, devise technical solutions, work with a wide range of tools, and do plenty of hands-on programming work.
We are looking to fill two positions:
• One position requires a particular strength in DHTML, PHP, SQL and databases
• The other requires a particular strength in Flash / ActionScript and object-oriented programming.
For either position, you will need to be able to understand and customise ready-made open source software quickly, take full ownership of tasks assigned and carry out research & development. Any good ideas are always welcome!
Essential skills
Flash, ActionScript 2.0 (3.0 advantageous) or XHTML/JS/CSS, PHP, SQL, XML
Both roles will require Object Orientation and OO design patterns
Desirable Skills
Experience of SCORM,
Experience of using Moodle, Joomla
Apache, MySQL
Java, C# .Net, MS SharePoint, Web services
