Our client is looking for a Trainee Sales Executive with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to carry out telemarketing activities. You may have recently graduated and be looking for a great opportunity to join a progressive, motivated and enthusiastic sales team or you may have been working as a telesales person within another organisation and be ready for career progression - however you may be presently selling insurance, mobile phones, IT Services, card protection services, banking services, software or be in media sales.

If you feel you have the relevant background then we'd be delighted to hear from you. This is an interesting and exciting role within a young and dynamic organisation with excellent opportunities for progression.

Your role will entail carrying out Telemarketing activities, so as to maintain and develop sales - you will be following up marketing campaigns in accordance with agreed business plans. Our client will actively develop your sales skills and product knowledge to enable you to move into Sales Executive role ideally within 3-6 months.

Your day to day role will involve:
1. Contacting businesses & organisations by telephone in order to promote goods and/or services
2. Achieve high activity performance benchmarks as directed by line manager.
3. Explain products or services, and answer questions from prospects.
4. Schedule appointments for sales representatives to meet with prospective customers or for customers to attend sales presentations or seminars.
5. Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys in conjunction with marketing team
6. Conduct written correspondence with customers to follow up initial sales contacts.
7. Adjust sales scripts to better target the needs and interests of specific individuals.
8. Develop understanding of our client's product/services offering & market, and attend training to develop relevant skills.
9. Complete and maintain any relevant Professional Qualifications identified by Line manager
10. As required, attend Training in line with our client's Products Portfolio.
11. Keeping up to date with developments in the marketplace across the IT sector and be fully versed so as to keep your customers fully aware. 12. Maintain and update an electronic customer and prospect database & other internal systems to record daily activities.
13. Be responsible for responding and following up all Sales leads issued by Telemarketing Manager
14. Meet with Line Manager on a weekly basis to review individual performance
15. If required represent the organisation through attendance at Customer meetings, Training Days, Seminars and other events.
16. After a successful period with Telemarketing team additional/alternative duties in support of a Sales team may include:

* Producing timely and accurate quotations.
* Inputting, monitoring and chasing price requests.
* Monitoring orders on the system, chasing Sales Admin and Purchasing.
* Sales Order Processing
* Checking for duplicate orders.
* Updating sales forecast. Skills/Experience required

You need to be able to drive and have your own vehicle as this is an out of town location.
